The work

The essays in this collection concentrate on some of the research projects the author has been involved in so far. The core of all the essays lies in stylistic analysis. Nonetheless, since she is also interested in translation and postcolonial studies, the main purpose of this book is to bring these interests together in an attempt to show how stylistic analysis is capable of revealing the highly intricate and apparently intangible web of significance which underlies the construction of literary texts and other text types and to offer analyses which foster the appreciation of complex issues such as identity formation in postcolonial works or the translation of specific stylistic choices.
